Selin Genç is the Community and Artistic Manager of Visual Voices, driven by how arts and culture can offer moorings in turbulent times. She has worked with non-profits and art spaces across Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Spain. Her written and visual works have appeared in Lucy Writers Platform, the Gallyry, the Debutante, the Rattlecap, Technecast, Mad'in Europe, Eudaimonia, Common Ground, and rApport. Additionally, she contributed to the academic podcast community Technecast, organised under the AHRC doctoral training partnership, and she participated in the printed anthology project What The Water Gave Us led by Lucy Cavendish College. She holds a MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven and MA in Art History at the University of Edinburgh. Her research explores the interactions of creative and artistic practices with institutional structures in postcolonial contexts.
